Nairana Cottage is a one bedroom spa unit. The cottage is of 4.5-5 star standard, featuring high quality furnishings and Tasmanian timbers and has been purpose-built to maximize bird and wildlife watching opportunities.

The bedroom has a queen size and single bed for twin share or double capacity and walk in robes with luggage shelf. There is also a double sofa bed, large TV and DVD in the lounge/dining area. 

Facilities include a fully-equipped kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, gas cook-top and electric oven with range-hood extraction fan and microwave. The bathroom has a separate spa bath and shower and the laundry contains a washing machine, clothes dryer and trough. Heating includes a heater in the lounge area and portable electric heater in the bedroom, with a ceiling heater in the bathroom and electric blankets on the beds. The unit is set in the forest amongst the wallabies and birds and has a private balcony overlooking the South Bruny Ranges. The balcony has a gas barbeque and deck chairs and undercover parking is also available.

Staying at Nairana cottage places you inside the Inala private nature reserve, you are able to walk the property unaccompanied and use the pardalote platform and bird viewing hides.  Do consider taking a tour with a specialist Inala nature guide who will illuminate and enhance your sightings and understanding of birds, mammals, flora and history of this remarkable property and island.  We have tour options and packages which include accommodation and meals on the Bruny Island page.
