Planning your Visit

The Inala Jurassic Garden is located on the Inala Nature Reserve on beautiful Bruny Island, Tasmania.

The ferry to Bruny Island leaves from Kettering and it is a 15-minute journey to reach Bruny Island and then up to an hour’s drive to reach Inala Jurassic Garden. We encourage visitors to drive slowly at dawn and dusk times to help keep Bruny Island wildlife safe.

Fuel: We recommend that you refuel your vehicle prior to coming onto Bruny Island. There is only one service station on the island at Adventure Bay.

Parking: is available at the Inala Visitor Centre

Visitor Guide: please read the Jurassic Garden Visitor Guide prior to your visit to the garden.

Disability Access: the pathway through the garden was carefully designed to allow inclusivity, with a gentle gradient, width and camber to suit wheelchairs and other mobility aids. Seats are located throughout the garden and suitable bathroom facilities are located in the Museum building next to the Garden.

Service animals: are welcome in the Jurassic Garden.  Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Please read our Service Animal Regulations prior to your visit.

Photography/Filmography: Visitors are welcome to take photos and videos for personal use. For commercial and professional photography/filmography, please contact us for our rates.

Concerns: Inala always endeavours to provide an enjoyable and educational experience for visitors. If visitors do have any concerns, Inala staff are available to assist. We ask visitors to directly notify Inala staff of any problems, or contact us with any concerns. We are committed to continuous improvement and will do our utmost to resolve any concerns promptly.
